Chris Rickman grew up in the Santa Ynez Valley nestled between the Gaviota coastline to the West and the expansive Los Padres national forest to the East. At a young age the outdoors became an instumental part of his life. From surfing and freediving to hiking and exploring the pristine backcountry, the outdoors have shaped who he is today. With an always creative eye for viewing the world, Chris, found a means of capturing and sharing his vision with others through photograpghy. Inspired by the always changing light and unpredicability of nature, a passion  for landscape photography was born.
